Jhili Mishra studied B.Sc. Honors in chemistry from Gangadhar Meher (auto) College, Odisha. After completing her M.Sc. from Sambalpur University in 2014, she joined AKM’S group as a Ph.D. scholar in July 2014. Her research interest is study on certain biologically relevant organized media using ESPT dynamics.
Anuja Singh studied B.Sc. Honors in chemistry from Ramjas College, Delhi University. After completing her M.Sc. from VNIT Nagpur in 2015, she joined AKM’S group as a Ph.D. scholar in July 2015. Her research interest is to ‘understand the photophysics and photochemistry of Y-shaped cross-conjugated enediynes’.
Swayam Prakash studied his M.Sc from NIT Rourkela. He joined AKM research group as a Ph.D. scholar in July 2016. His research interest is on the application of fluorescence spectroscopy for the analysis of multifluorophoric systems and drinking water analysis.

Kumarmani Jena completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha. After the completion of Master’s program, he joined in Ph.D. (July 2018) under the supervision of Prof. A.K. Mishra.
Saugata Sahu completed his B.Sc. in 2009 from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur. He studied M.Sc in chemistry at IIT Guwahati. He qualified NET/CSIR on December 2010. After the completion of Master’s program, he joined in Ph.D. in the same institute (July, 2011) under the supervision of Prof. G. Krishnamoorthy. He completed his Ph.D. on 28th November 2016. His research interests lie in photophysical investigations of organic aggregates.
Paurnima Talele completed her Bachelors (2008) and Masters (2010) from North Maharashtra University. She secured University First Rank with Gold Medal in both B. Sc. (Chemistry) and M.Sc. (Chemistry) examinations. After her Masters she joined as a Lecturer (2010) in University Department of Chemical Technology, North Maharashtra University. She joined for Ph.D. (2011) in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. She completed her Ph.D. in 2016 and continued as Research Associate in the same lab at IIT Bombay. She joined IIT Madras (February 2017) as Postdoctoral fellow in Prof. AKM research group. Her research interests are on protein folding, drug-protein interactions and drug delivery through solid-lipid nanoparticles, micelles, neosomes etc.
Chandirasekar Shanmugam completed his B.Sc. chemistry in 2007 from C. Kandaswamy Naidu College, Chennai. He studied M.Sc (2007-2009) in Polymer Science at University of Madras. After the completion of Master’s program, he worked as a Lecturer (June 2009-Nov 2007) in Department of Chemistry, C. Kandaswamy Naidu College, Chennai. He joined for Ph.D. on Dec 2009 in the Department of Polymer Science, University of Madras and completed his Ph.D on September 2015. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry, National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan. He joined in IIT Madras (March 2017) as Postdoctoral fellow under Prof. AKM. His research interests lie in synthesis, photophysical studies and fluorometric sensing applications of fluorescent noble metal nanoclusters and protein nanoparticles.
Tamilmani Vairapperumal completed her Ph.D with INSPIRE Fellowship in CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (2011-2017) and secured her M. Sc Chemistry as University Gold medalist from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai in 2010. She completed her U.G – B.Sc Chemistry with second rank in 2008 from Lady Doak College, Madurai. She got a good hands on experience in Research and Development by working with Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Shollinganallur, Chennai (June, 2010-May, 2011). Currently, she joined IIT Madras as National Post-doctoral Fellow in AKM group (September, 2017). Her research interest includes luminescent lanthanide nanomaterials for biological applications.
Maniyazagan received his M.Sc. degree in Organic chemistry from Muthayammal College of Arts and Science, Periyar University, India in 2008. Before joining his Ph. D program, he has worked as a Jr. Executive – Quality Control (2009 to 2012) in M/S. Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., SIDCO Industrial complex, Alathur, Kancheepuram (Dt) – 603 110, Tamilnadu. He received his Ph. D from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, India under the guidance of Dr. T. Stalin in 2017. He joined in IIT Madras (September 2017) as SERB National Postdoctoral fellow (N-PDF) in Prof. AKM research group. His research interest in the synthesis of organic fluorescent nano materials for biological applications.
Pulak Karan completed his B.Sc from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Kolkata. He joined IIT MADRAS in M.Sc program from July 2017. He joined M.Sc project under the supervision of Prof. A.K. Mishra from July 2018. His research interest is the preparation of fluorescent active molecular probes and their application of micro heterogeneous organized media.
Samiran Banu completed his B.Sc from City College, Calcutta University. He joined IIT MADRAS in M.Sc program from July 2017. He joined M.Sc project under the supervision of Prof. A.K. Mishra from July 2018.
